Classic "Butter Cup Earrings" with vintage "Old European Cut" diamonds, define these exceptional diamond earrings. Crafted in 14-K yellow gold, six prong "Butter Cup" settings, with threaded post and backs for  maximum security when being worn.

The two "Old European Cut" diamonds, apex. .49 ct. and .51 ct., equaling 1.00 ct. total weight. They are SI grade, G-H colors, circa 1930's. They were probably re-set into these earrings in the 1960's (Butter Cup Earrings, were very popular in this period).

3.14 cts.  Diamond & Emerald Earrings

Circa 1930-40's

Sixty years ago this was the standard for high quality jewelry, hand crafted to meet someone's "exact design requirements", and now it is a Classic on its own terms.

These Diamond-Emerald earrings were created in 18-k yellow gold, some where along the years they were converted into pierced earrings (to now include "earring post" & "Omega" backs, done in 14-K Y.G.). The earrings contain 1.94 cts. of VS to SI-2 grade Diamonds and appx. 1.20 cts. of 5 x4 m/m Pear Shape Emeralds, for a total gemstone weight of 3.14 cts. The earrings are 43.00 m/m long (1-11/32") x 8.75 m/m wide (3/8"). Their gross weight (diamonds & gold) is 11.8 grams.

The two "legs" on each earring are "flexible", thus giving them "bit of movement" when worn.

Crafted in 14-K yellow and white gold, these circa 1950's earrings have twenty round .05 ct. diamonds, that equal 1.00 ct. T.W. The two oval emeralds are 7x5 m/m and have a probable weight of .75 ct. each= approximate 1.50 ct. T.W. Thus the total gemstone weight equals approximately 2.50 ct.

Almost 1 inch in diameter (15/16") (23.51 m/m wide). Clusters of larger pearls are no longer seen or made, due to the high cost today. So your ears are still un-pierced, and you have always wanted Clip Back Hoop Earrings, your prayers have been answered. These quality circa 1940 earrings were fashioned in 18-K Yellow Gold. They are 2-1/8" long x 1-1/4" wide at the largest hoop. The gross weight for the pair is 13.4 grams. Of the thousands of estate jewelry that I see each year, clip backs are becoming extremely hard to find.
