The matching platinum wedding ring, has a straight baguette diamond in the center and two tapered baguette diamonds, equaling .15 ct. T.W., SI-grade, G color.

"Fabulous Ceylon Sapphire"

My heart almost skipped a beat, as my stone buyer handed me a package of sapphires that he just purchased on a buying trip from Asia. What fantastic color, was my first thought. Since I only had a few of these exceptional sapphires, and I knew each one would have to be used in a very special item.

This 18-K W.G. ring was part of a estate that I purchased, it is not old, but a reproduction of an older design. I had removed the center diamond for my client, to be used for other purposes. Thus for months I pondered about a proper center stone to complement this ring. At last looking at these sapphires, I knew I had found what I was searching for, one of these exceptional sapphires.

This Ceylon Sapphire is 1.25 ct, and there are 28 diamonds in the shank that equal .33 ct. SI, G-H. For a total Gemstone weight of 1.58 ct. T.W. The ring is 7.52 m/m wide, size 7, and 6.2 grams gross weight. It is in "like new, excellent condition". If sapphires "are your thing", then this is a ring that should not be passed up. I wish that I could obtain another lot of sapphires, at the same reasonable price, but I am not sure when or even if it is possible again.

The center diamond is securely set in a six prong Tiffany Head. This diamond is a .50 ct round full cut, VS-1 grade, G color, on each side are two .03 ct. single cut diamonds, thus giving a total diamond weight of .56 ct. TW.

The shank is a "knife edge shank", size 7-1/2. Its condition is excellent.
