Vermont Snow-Flake Charm

As I designed, created and hand-sawed out the initial model for this Vermont Snow-Flake Charm, my three major objectives were exceptional detail, good thickness and a very smooth charm that would not snag and bend as most snow-flake charms do. Typically most are so paper thin with sharp pointy ends, that they catch on every thing thus bending and eventually breaking. You will notice that each of the eight legs are part of the body of the snow flake, also all ends are rounded and smooth, thus preventing them from snagging and catching your clothing and or other charms on your bracelet. The end result was a thick, stable well designed and functional jewelry creation that can be worn daily for decades to come.

Crafted in 14-K yellow gold, the charm is 22.20 m/m wide (7/8" wide), x 1.85 m/m thick, about the size and thickness of a nickel. Most snow flake charms are about 1/10 this thickness of this charm, but I refuse to make such paper thin items that will not last for my clients.

With this classic understated version, the quarter carat diamond set in the center of the snow-flake adds the finishing touch to this exceptional Vermont snow-flake charm.

Vermont Diamond Snow-Flake Charm/Pendant

This is the same charm as the plain version above, except I created this version with diamonds in all eight legs of the snow-flake, in the center as well as diamonds in the upper bale.

This Charm/Pendant is 22.20 m/m wide (7/8" wide) x 1.85 m/m thick x 1-1/2" long including the diamond bale. In the center is a .20 ct. round full cut diamond, 4-prong set, then on the outer edges are eight diamonds that are flush-set into the body of the snow-flake. Thus this charm has a total of .50 ct. of diamonds, SI grade, G-H color. Its gross weight is 3.5 grams. As with all of my special creations, it is handcrafted in Vermont.

The Old First Church in Old Bennington Vermont, is a photographers delight in its design as well as its historical input to the region. The resting place of Robert Frost, as well as many soldiers from the Battle of Bennington, during the Revolutionary War.
